Additional Details on the Leadership Institute II

Leaders today face greater challenges than ever before. To navigate their companies through a landscape of constant change and increasing complexity, leaders will need to consistently evolve the nature of their leadership. To succeed in the 21st century, research shows that leaders must:

  • Collaboratively work across boundaries
  • Influence others to enact change
  • Remain adaptive and flexible
  • Build high-performing teams
  • Coach others
  • Leverage their relationships

Based on the tenants of the Leadership Institute (personal coaching, feedback, a high staff-to-participant-ratio, and experiential leadership challenges), FMI’s Leadership Institute II offers participants the next critical step on their leadership journey. During the four-day program, participants will engage in intense experiential learning and operate in a small peer group led by a personal coach. Participants will gain these valuable lessons from this experience:

  • Increased self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses relating to EQ
  • Daily personal coaching designed to increase leadership effectiveness
  • Better preparedness to handle the everyday challenges of leading others
  • Development of leadership skills to become a more powerful influencer
  • How to enact change that lasts
  • Influence others to take greater responsibility for their actions
  • Improve relational skills to be more motivating to others
  • Addressing and resolving conflict
  • Build long-term trusting relationships
  • Why emotional intelligence is a better predictor of success than intelligence

The Leadership Institute II will take place April 6-9, 2009 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
