360° Feedback

FMI 360° Feedback is a web-based 360° survey tool used by FMI Corporation as part of its leadership and organizational development process, powered by Vision View. This performance evaluation system provides you with feedback about your performance from a variety of constituents, including co-workers, customers, direct reports, and other team members. We have found that this assessment process is an invaluable element in the toolkit for successful individual and organizational development.

By gathering information from a variety of people who anonymously provide ratings and comments on your skills, knowledge, ability, and behavioral areas, FMI is able to provide you with a comprehensive report that helps you to understand your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to improve and grow personally and professionally. Myers-Briggs Indicator

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality assessment used for many years to help people in organizations:

  • Leverage individual's natural strengths
  • Improve teamwork
  • Understand and adapt to differences in leadership/management style
  • Coach individuals
  • Assist in career development and direction
  • Enhance effective communication

A mother-and-daughter team, Kathryn Briggs and Isabel Myers, developed the MBTI in the United States based on C.G. Jung's theory of psychological type. The MBTI:

  • Describes and predicts behavior; therefore, it is used to open possibilities, not limit options.
  • Identifies preferences and not intelligence, values, skills, experience, training, or education and states that all preferences can be used by all persons.
  • Is the most well-documented personality assessment with thousands of scientific studies conducted over 50 years.
  • Has ongoing research to support its applications

DiSC Personality Assessment

The DiSC personality assessment measures observable human behavior and emotions. In organizational setting, it measures:

  • How one responds to problems or challenges
  • How one influences others to one's point of view
  • How one responds to the pace of the environment
  • How one responds to the rules and procedures set by others

Within the organization, the DiSC can also help to:

  • Align the personality with job roles/functions for increased satisfaction and productivity.
  • Improve teamwork
  • Understand and adapt to differences in leadership/management style
  • Coach individuals
  • Enhance effective communication

Natural Ability Battery

The Natural Ability Battery (NAB) is a state of the art assessment that objectively measures an individual's innate abilities through the performance of timed work samples. The NAB report identifies 19 individual abilities and styles that link to key leadership competencies such as:

  • Managerial and leadership ability
  • Inductive and analytical reasoning ability
  • Capacity for learning
  • Team orientation
  • Entrepreneurial orientation
  • Sales and marketing ability
  • Communication ability
  • Time frame orientation
  • Preferred channels of learning

The Leadership Potential Indicator

The Leadership Potential Indicator (TLPI) is a customized summary report, which integrates data derived from the Natural Ability Battery and the Myers Briggs Type indicator. The summary comments serve as a starting point for developing a realistic action plan to integrate these behavioral predictors:

  • Management/leadership style
  • Decision making/problem-solving style
  • Contributions to the team
  • Cautions for you as a manager/leader
