Scott Hardy is a senior consultant in FMI's capital formation and mergers and acquisition practice areas. He specializes in financial and transactional services for manufacturers and distributors of construction products, equipment, and materials.

Scott has 20 years of experience in business acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic alliances, corporate finance, security valuation, and strategic planning. He began his professional career with FMI in its equity transfer and management consulting practice but left to pursue other ventures. Scott served as CEO for the largest domestic wholesaler of automation and access control products and as president of a boutique acquisition, valuation, and investment advisory firm. Scott has an extensive business transaction background representing domestic and foreign buyers and sellers. He has developed and implemented numerous investment programs in which transactions are used in a creative, insightful, and value enhancing manner.

Scott received a bachelor of arts degree in economics and a master of business administration degree in finance from the University of Colorado. Scott also is Accredited Senior Appraiser in business valuation and author of various articles on finance, valuation, and taxation.
